We are on our way to Vancouver and I cannot even see out the front window of the truck. Aside from it being pitch black out - it's POURING RAIN!! There is a huge storm - it's raining horribly; and we are not in a good place.
This roadtrip was my suggestion - I wanted to drive so we could save a few thousand dollars on flights, car rentals, dog kennel. Jeff really isn't happy about this driving idea and all I can do is hope that we get there safely.
We have both Cola & Cali with us. I have been so torn up inside lately about Cola. This very well could be her last trip home. I have booked an appointment for euthanasia while I am home. I don't want to keep her going if she's in pain and discomfort. This is absolute torture on my heart. She's been with me for 10 years - I went through a lot with her. She's seen a lot of heartache & been a rock to me.
Anyway - tonight we hope to get to Grants Pass, Oregon. That means we'll be on the road for 15hrs. I bought 2 books on CD - "Shit My Dad Says" and "127 hours". The other day, my brother-in-law gave me some light sedative for nerves. Paranoia about getting in a car accident won't get the best of me, (or Jeff).
We'll see how this trip goes....I will keep posting about our journey.
