I got bit by a cat yesterday. His name is Tegan and he's a stray. It hurt so bad. I took off for the Dr. straight away. I know how serious cat bites can be - I don't want to get really sick.
The Dr. gave me 1000mg of Clavamox, (HEFTY DOSE) & 500mg of Tylenol. She soaked it in Betadine & wrapped it in a big bandage.
I woke up last night in a lot of pain. I went back to the Dr. today - she took the bandage off to have a look - it's so swollen - my wrist looks broken. She grabbed a Sharpie & drew a line around all the swelling. She also gave me an IM injection of antibiotic in my right cheek & more pain control.
I have the rest of the day to sit at home & chill out. I go back tomorrow for another recheck...hopefully I will be ok to go back to work. :-)
On another note - here's Jack - We had a going away party for Bri last week, and I doctored up this photo to put in a frame for her.

Well I guess the good thing about your cat bite is that you had some time to update your blog ;-)
When I got bit bad by a dog at work (I had stiches in my elbow) it got badly infected and they had to outline the swelling with a marker too. That way they could monitor how much further the infection was spreading.
So make sure to listen to the Dr. and keep getting it checked!
