Today some girls brought in a fledgling house sparrow. This is what she looks like - but it's not her. I posted her pic on Facebook.
I went to the pet supply store and got it some baby food - then I was feeding it all day and it went pretty good. It's been a while since I syringe fed wild birds!!!
I asked one of the officers if he could take her home - and he has too many nestlings to care for and asked if I'd be interested. HELL yeah!!
I asked my boss if that was ok - she said to go ahead; as long as I feel comfortable. She should be able to fly in about a week.
