Countdown to Christmas....

Last night we stayed in and ordered pizza. We also went to Michael's where I picked up some ribbon to make the dogs some collars. I made 3 collars so far - I gave one to Charlotte at work for her little dog. I have to make 5 more - for Gibby, Cola, Cali and 2 dogs' of Bree's at work. So much fun.

Here are some Christmas photos/video of our night.

(my tree - and "Cola" getting some love from Rick)

The dogs went to go see Santa yesterday - Jeff, Rick and my mom took them - and apparetnly "Cali" jumped right up on Santa's knee!!! They had a great time and we got 3 photos!

We are 98% certain that "Cola" has Cushings' Disease. I took her to the Veterinarian on Wednesday, and I did a Geriatric Panel. Her liver functions are high - along with her cholesterol. Based on her symptoms, (non stop eating, drinking and peeing...and her body giving a "barrel-like" appearance); I can safely conclude that this is what it is. There is a test which will diagnose it; so I will do that once I get my first paycheque from the Shelter. Medication can help control this.

As for my job...I totally love it. I go there in the morning and just love it!! Yesterday was hopping busy and so was today. I honestly don't mind working the weekends, b/c to tell you the truth - it doesn't even feel like I'm "working"...I am crazy busy - but I love it so much. It is so rewarding.

Today a lady brought in a box of 7 - 6 week old kittens. Apparently she found them on the 2nd floor parking structure by the elevators of our local mall. Who knows if that's the truth - but we got' em now. I love them!!!! I want the one on the far left. There are 4 greys and 3 browns...I love them!!! Jessica wanted to name them after the "Twilight" characters; so Charlotte and I let her. :-) Aren't these 3 adorable?

(have I mentioned that I love them??!!)

FIRST!!!

I wanted to be the first to comment on your blog. Dave tried to beat me to it and it resulted in a race up the stairs and a battle to get to the computer first!

I'm glad your job is going well... cute kittens!

Can't wait to see Cola and Cali's Santa photos... make sure to post them! (In a timely manner of course!)

Do those bells on the dog's collars not drive you nuts???

I could have been first, but I was responding to Christy's text message first....being first was so close, so close.

I must google Cushing's Disease - it sounds familiar, but I think I've heard humans having it. Hope Cola is okay.

I love the necklaces you made - did you make one for yourself, Jeff, Rick and your mom? LOL - you should!!

I love the kittens!!! I am in love - I love the one on the left. And the one on the right looks like it's giving you the evil eye - LOL!!

Elena... is that what I need to do to get you to check my blog? Text you with updates? That kind of gives me a ripped off feeling... I want you to stalk me secretly on your own without text alerts ;)
