so tired...

Friday after work, I left work early and rushed home so that I could help Michele out with Hailey's Birthday party. As I opened the garage door - I realized there was only one dog greeting me - Cola.

Frantic, I ran inside the living room and noticed little Cali peering out from inside her kennel - I looked at the couch, and it was in shambles. The cushions and pillows were allover the place, and there was a 2 foot tower of STUFFING amongst the mayhem!

Cola had gone back and made herself comfortable from greeting me and was sitting atop the stuffing in a nest that she probably thought was just so comfortable.

Luckily the only pillow that was damaged - was not damaged on the outside. Somehow, Cali had undone the zipper - then grabbed mouthfulls of stuffing and sponge without ripping the micro-suede.


Anyway - the party turned out really good. We had a lot of fun with the teeny-boppers. I set up lighting and a backdrop and we did photoshoots. It was hilarious.

I left at about 10pm and was sleeping by 10:30! I had to beg Cali to come in the house as she was so terrified of being beaten that she stayed out all night. I was pooped, and had to be up at 6am for the drive to San Diego for the Photo Expo! Angela and Cathy met me at the Park & Ride and we drove down together. Went to various seminars and walked the show. It was a lot of fun!!

I bought a new camera bag with my Bday money - I am excited. My gear all fits now. I think I mentioned last week that I bought a backdrop stand - I get that on Tuesday. :-) Happy Birthday to me! This is all birthday money and gift certificates - so it's not ripping into my wallet.

Well - Jeff and I leave in 10 days - and I have yet to make plans for the dogs. Damn. Lucie and Rich are going to stay at our house for a few days while we are away so that will help out in a big way and they get their west-coast fix at the same time! :-)
