My California Birthday

I wanted to direct you to Tammys' blog - she did such an AWESOME job at posting about my California Birthday weekend....she rocks. (CLICK HERE)

My computer time is limited, and I've been using most of my free time to look for a new job. I have a ton of photos - but Tammy's put most of them on her blog.

Tammy, Rhonda & Elena - thank you SO much for making me the happiest BC girl in SoCal!!! You girls really made my year - my life! I am so lucky to have each of you as a close friend and so lucky that you spent Canadian Thanksgiving with us here and gave your family dinners up to be here.

Jeff - thank YOU so much as well for being a big part in their trip planning! I don't know what I'd do without you - I love you.

~ SANDY ~

He was born Sep 25, 1996; and I adopted him from the Vet Clinic that I worked at, when he came in as a newborn with his mom and siblings. I gave him to my Grandma Ross, and she loved him so much. When her & my Uncle Johnny passed away, I took "Sandy" back to live with me. In his prime; he weighed 18lbs and is now an indoor cat. When he first came to California, he brought a lizard into my house! In February 2008, I had to make the tough decision to remove is right eye as it was causing him a lot of pain. He's my little pirate and loves to try to get outside!

I met Felix at the Shelter I worked at. He was left at the shelter gate taped up in a cardboard box. He had EXTREME behaviour issues and they were going to euthanize him. I adopted him. He unfortunately sprayed and urinated in the house - so he ended up trying every mood altering drug out there - and even wore piddle pants in the house. For a year, I tried desperately to find a new home for him. On Dec 11, 2010; Jeff & I drove him out to his Aunts' horseranch in Murrietta to live out his life chasing critters and basking in the sun.

~ I found my birth-family over Facebook
~ An Owl attacked me while waiting outside the Calgary Airport in January 2005.
~ I have been riding horses since I was 5
~ I have been in 4 car accidents
~ I have been to 8 Bryan Adams' Concerts
~ I have been writing to an Australian penpal since 1993 and never met.
~ I have FIVE tattoos...so far
~ I have had surgery 5x
~ I have participated in a human autopsy
~ I played a game of Ice Hockey during a period break for the NHL Canucks game when I was about 8yrs old
~ I was in Randy Bachman's music video for the song "Tailspin"
~ Jeff and I swam with two dolphins in the ocean while on a trip to Cancun in July 2005
~ When I was about 12yrs old, I picked up a baby rattlesnake in the wild without knowing it was one! - - - CRIKEY!!!
