EWWWW spiders are taking over!!!
One of the many advantages of living in Southern California - is that I get away from these NOT-SO little monsters that haunted me at home in Vancouver:

I just crushed one of those big ugly suckers with Dave's shoe last night!
This sucker is HUGE!!! I saw him for myself yesterday morning when Hailey snapped this photo. His body is approximately an inch or more long (YES, that long!) and his legs are at least 1-1/2 inches long on top AND on bottom. He does not have a round body like the other picture you posted, but more long, thin and flat - UGH! He was YUGLY!!! Yes, YUG-LY!! lol!!
Okay that is plain scary looking. I think I would have a heart attack if I ran into one of those head on.
