August 18, 2005

Jeff flew up to Vancouver on August 18, 2005 for our Anipet Tradeshow; and took my dad and Rick out to dinner when he landed.

Unbeknownst to me; he took them both out together so that he could ask permission to propose to me.

That night will be an unforgettable night in both of our lives.

When Jeff got home to my mom's to pick ME up for our dinner date in White Rock - he was so nervous! I didn't know what was wrong and I thought that my dads had traumatized him severely. Turned out to be only moderately.

We walked down the pier after our dinner and stopped at the bench that is a memorial to someone named "Harry Barry" - my FAVOURITE bench as a kid; and that's where Jeff gave me my ring.

I love you Jeff!

Jeff got home from Connecticut and when I got home - there were a dozen long-stemmed roses on the table and we had dinner arrangements to go to one of our favourite restaurants called Oceans 33.

It was an early night - but a great date! Thank you babe!!!

He got me a shirt from DC, and check these out for the dogs...

3 years ago I had to put up with the harassment from 2 grown men who love you very much. I am thankful for both of them and your Mom and the harassment was WELL WORTH it!

Rick and I didn't give Jeff such a bad time! We did make sure he paid for the drinks and dinner however. Since he did that we thought he was a keeper. You know how much Rick and I enjoy a free meal and drinks. Rick couldn't resist using some of his old god cop/bad cop routines...just a test. Jeff passed and we have been the better family for it ever since.

Love you both.
