~ Bull-Dane ~

"Cali" had her first trip to the vet yesterday. She was a little star weighing in at 43.7lbs.

They all agreed that she's a Bull-Terrier crossed with a Great Dane, so I now can introduce the new breed: Bull-Dane....it sounds better than Great Pit.

I thought it would be nice to walk her, "Cola" and "Gibby", (with Michele & the kids), last night - but now I'm tending to leash-burn and broken nails.

The thought was nice - but "Cali" definately needs training!! She's allover the place and it's SO frustrating!! The word "heel" is NOT in her vocabulary yet.

I did teach her how to lay down last night. She is pretty good at it. As usual - I incorporate the hand signals like I did with "Cola" and "Peaches".

Today - we're locking "Cali" in the kitchen with her baby gate keeping her in and her Vari-Kennel keeping her bed as an option...wish us all luck that our house is intact when I go home at lunch time to let her out for a pee!!! YIKES!!!

He was born Sep 25, 1996; and I adopted him from the Vet Clinic that I worked at, when he came in as a newborn with his mom and siblings. I gave him to my Grandma Ross, and she loved him so much. When her & my Uncle Johnny passed away, I took "Sandy" back to live with me. In his prime; he weighed 18lbs and is now an indoor cat. When he first came to California, he brought a lizard into my house! In February 2008, I had to make the tough decision to remove is right eye as it was causing him a lot of pain. He's my little pirate and loves to try to get outside!

~ FELIX ~

I met Felix at the Shelter I worked at. He was left at the shelter gate taped up in a cardboard box. He had EXTREME behaviour issues and they were going to euthanize him. I adopted him. He unfortunately sprayed and urinated in the house - so he ended up trying every mood altering drug out there - and even wore piddle pants in the house. For a year, I tried desperately to find a new home for him. On Dec 11, 2010; Jeff & I drove him out to his Aunts' horseranch in Murrietta to live out his life chasing critters and basking in the sun.
