I sent my mom a huge bouquet of flowers yesterday from me. She said something to me the other day that's lingered and I just want her to know that she's my ONLY mom and will always be my ONLY mom. I'm never going to call anyone "Mom" but her for my entire life. She's my best friend in life.
In my birth family; my birth mother was one of 11 brothers and sisters. I've had SO many new people add me on Facebook! I have no idea who any of them are - but they all want to know me!!
A lot of my friends and family don't have Facebook and want to see photos of my birth mother, half brother and half sisters. Well - here they are:

(Florence 62 - Birth mother.
Lives in Kamloops, BC)

(Fraser 38 - half brother.
Lives in Kamloops, BC)

(Kim 21 & Sam 29 - half sisters.
They both live in Southern Alberta)
So - as I said - this is all very strange to me and I honestly don't know what the next step is.
~~~~~ ONTO ANOTHER SUBJECT ~~~~~
Elena is going to come down to SoCal to see Bryan Adams at Belly Up Tavern with me!! I am SO FRIGGING EXCITED!!! I am giving a third ticket to Michele. I am more than excited about this concert. This is going to be a riot!!!
For those of you that might know - Bryan Adams has been my #1 since I saw him at Expo '86 sing to Princess Diana at the Opening Ceremonies. His lead guitarist, Keith Scott is also my favourite.
I've been to about 12 Bryan Adams' concerts since 1991 and Pamela and I still call/email eachother on the anniversary of our first show together - we're crazy - I know.
Back in 1994, my Uncle Johnny's best friend spotted me at a concert - he was in the 1st row and I was 6th row. He ended up getting me backstage with his friend Dave Vidal - and I got to meet Keith Scott, Tommy Mandel, Mickey Curry & Dave Taylor. Bryan was doing a press release, (although I met him a year later elsewhere). Keith was super nice and I got to chat with him for a little bit. Jamie grew up with Keith - and Dave tunes his guitars.
When I was in a bad car crash in 1995; I got a really nice Get Well Card from Keith Scott. He took the time to write it all out and also gave me an autographed postcard. I was just in shock - that made my life. I still have it and it's in safekeeping. One of the major highlights of my life.
OMG! I'm going to have to make a purchase here...
Awe - How nice of you to send your Mom flowers :) She must have been so happy to be re-assured that she is your mom always. It brings tears to my eyes... sniff.
I am so upset that I can't come down and use up that 4th ticket to Bryan Adams! If Hannah wasn't a flower girl in a wedding that weekend I would be on a plane for sure! The things we give up for our kids...
Thanks for posting the pictures - I was very curious about what Florence and kids looked like. Wow, what an experience you're going thru - it's very surreal.
And yes, yes, yes - I am going to see Bryan Adams!!! It's my very first time seeing him.....and even better....I get to see him up close!!!
OK Elena... that is enough bragging already. Some of us are having to miss out and are a little bitter about it.
Well it looks like I got the 4th ticket!!! Sorry Tammy. I am so excited about this trip and could really use the time away. Cant wait!!
Tell mom that I am still here to bug her. She will always be a second mom to be!!! You guys are always in my heart!!
Well girls... have fun at the concert without me. Christy maybe you can take my picture with you and take a picture of my picture with you guys at the concert... it would be alomost like I was really there :)
Oh Tammy - you are so hilarious - I love reading your comments.
Elena
All I have to say is, how come I wasn't asked to see Bryan Adams??
Not Fair...........
You are such a nice daughter Christy and you and your mom are soo lucky to have each other!!
So much news and good news at that. I'm so excited for you and learning about your "family". Your mom seems like a very special lady that never could be replaced.
BA was my 1st concert too. LOVE IT!
That was a very wonderful thing you did for your mother, believe me she would never doubt who mom was.
I guess I didn't get a BA invite 'cause I've already seen him three times....they probably don't have an "old guy" section anyway except for Brian himself!
Enjoy!
Okay okay...before you send a snooty note, I know I spelled Bryan's name wrong...'old-timers' you know.
LOL!! I love that your Mom is so special....I love that she is so supportive and your Dad as well...I love that you get to share this with all of us...and I love you for being you! I GOT TICKET #3!!! I'm so excited, and even more so that I am not the only 1st timer BA here....Tammy we will of course take your picture with us and will take pictures with "you" everywhere!!!
Michele :)
Thank you sweetheart for the beautiful flowers and your thoughtfulness. Don't ever worry about me I know what a special relationship we have and will always have. I am so happy for you.
Enjoy Bryan Adams..feel like time is going backwards...you girls have a great time...don't forget to call and behave (ha ha ha forgot I don't have to do that anymore!!)
See you soon!
Love Mom
Thanks Michele... I'm glad someone is going to take me along in their pocket :)
PS - Christy your Dad is so funny... old timers section... hee hee
Tammy I have a Bryan Adams in concert DVD maybe the night the girls are watching him we could get together with our Canada Tshirts and watch it .... (ha ha). We can show them!!
Hey what about me.....I wanna come too mom!!
I still can't believe I wasn't even asked!!!!
To Barb... that sounds great! We can take pictures of ourselves watching the DVD and photoshop them to make it look like we were actually there ;)
To Rhonda... I think you were in Switzerland when all the Bryan Adams action happened. Or maybe Christy is punishing you for not keeping your blog up to date... she is kind of militant about that,
To The Lucky Girls... Have fun at the concert. Sniff sniff
Oh Yeah and To Christy... Since it is your blog I feel obligated to comment about you too. So have a great weekend... I hope it rains in California :P
