Can you imagine:
What would YOU do with $42.00?
We stopped off at Linda's house on our way out of Grants' Pass. She works in our HR Department at our company. Her house is BEAUTIFUL!!!! It's so pretty there!!!
We drove through the Summit without any issues - it was beautiful!!! The snow was all on the side of the highway and in the woods. People had pulled over to go taboganing with their families. I am a photo/video document-addict, so had to use my NEW snazzy tripod for the video recorder WHILE I used my DSLR.
We drove through Redding and stopped to pick up Newspapers. We are very interested in making that city part of our lives - a longtime goal. I would love it there!! All of the wilderness and the nice people.
Got to Sacramento and hung out with Paul, Robyn, Katie & Nate. Nate ate his "Shreddies" while I laughed at his "milking" technique...oh - "Shreddies" are unknown in the USA - they call them "Life". He's so cute!
Us adults played a drinking game of Scene-It "Friends" and then went to bed.
It's New Years' Eve!!! We just got home and have unpacked, showered and cleaned house a little bit. What a nightmare drive! Glad to be home!!! This has been the longest 3 days of my life.
We saw a horrible accident aftermath on the Northbound I-5 stretch of Bakersfield. A white SUV was upside down and disintegrated on the meridian. There was a helicoptor landed on the highway. Somebody had died. So very sad.
Well, I hope that everyone has a great New Years and stays safe!!! We are on the couch for the rest of the night. Jeff went out and bought some King Crab and a steak. I am really looking forward to this quiet night of filling my face!!!
Glad to be home, but miss everyone so much! The mileage was exactly 1,303.1 miles each way - with a total of 2,606.2 miles.
