On Saturday - my mom and I drove to Anaheim to say goodbye to my brother Troy, sister-in-law Moira and their two kids Hunter & Brooklyn. I was so sad to see them go! I just wanted to cry all day.
Sunday - Jeff and I took my mom and Cola down to the Montage to walk the grounds and down on the sand. (Note to Michele: We can do portaits with Gibby down there now!). After we left - we went to Hennessey's for lunch and watched one of my favourite reggae bands "Smoothie Jones" play. Cola was tied to the fence; but she had fun anyway!
Before we got home - we did a stop at Home Depot and got some new plants, then Jeff and my mom went crazy in the garden after the sun set. It looks AWESOME!!! Thanks guys!!!
Today - Jeff drove my mom to LAX, while I went to work. There are some very bad fires down here and the closest one is within a couple of blocks of us! Here are two pictures that I took with my cellphone from the front door of my office building:
I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Jeff and I are really looking forward to leaving town on Friday for our Honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! I can't wait!!! We're going to have a great time!!! FINALLY!!!

Holy moly! Is that second pic from our building? That is HORRIBLE! Please tell me that you are keeping up the "buddy" system and making sure that you are not there alone. Be safe!
All those poor people in San Diego -- half a million displaced. That's more than Katrina! This is really bad. I think I'm going to organize a bunch of people to do a Habitat House down there. If you know folks that might be interested, I know there is going to be a lot of need for volunteering in the next few months.
I am torn...I have both happy feelings for you (Dominican Republic honeymoon) and sad feelings for you (SoCal fires). Are the Merks taking care of Cola while you guys are away?

And yes Elena, we've got Gibby's favorite girl covered while they are away...Gibby is so excited (me too!) LOL!!
