What a smokin' HOT weekend!! The news is on right now, and in SoCal; it is supposed to reach 113'F in some places today!!! I don't know where - but I hope not here!!!
Friday, after I blogged about going to Knott's Berry Farm; we decided not to go. It was just too hot! It was 9:30am, and I couldn't even go out the front door - the heat was stagnant (?), no breeze whatsoever!
Instead, we decided to go to Aliso Creek Beach to check it out. It was still really hot, and there was no breeze. The waves were HUGE, and nobody was in the water, as they were breaking right on shore! We were there for about 3hrs, and I got BURNT!
After we left the beach, we drove home by way of PCH, and decided to stop in at Dana Point and see about renting a Sea-Do. We did it, and rented one as a double-ride - it was AWESOME!!! We went into the ocean, we had a grid that we were supposed to stay in - but it was definitely the open ocean!!! We went back and forth - airborne over the waves!!! Jeff drove, then we switched off. As we were on our last run before heading in - a HUGE male Sea Lion popped up beside us! He had to be about 20' long!!! He yawned and his teeth were bigger than a Rottweiler's!! I was a little nervous of him getting so close to us, if he wanted to attack - we were so vulnerable!!
We went home, showered, then drove to a new restaurant that we've been wanting to try - "Salt Creek" on PCH - had some appy's and a couple drinks. It was a great restaurant, with great service!!!
On the way home from dinner, we drove back to Dana Point, and I told Jeff about this cliff that my mom and I drove up to, so we could watch the sunset. This cliff was populated!!! After the sunset, we 'high-fived' then drove home.
Yesterday, when I woke up, my arms were KILLING ME! I could not believe the pain that I was in! It's from the Sea-Do!! It was more than just sore muscles - I'm certain that people have lied down and prayed for death when they hurt that much!!! I wanted to put both of my arms in slings! I was useless!!!
Eventually, we got ready to spend the day at the Getty Centre in Hollywood! It is only 68miles away, but with traffic - that's potential for a day spent in your car!!! Luckily, it only took us about an hour and a half. The Museum is completely free - & parking is only $8.00 - all covered!! We got up there, and walked around for about 3hrs. It was amazing!!! We took some photos, (to be posted when I get my camera all uploaded!) Jeff wanted to meet up with Ken and his friend Manish that was flying in from Connecticut, so we decided not to do dinner in Malibu....another time.

We got home, cleaned up; then left to go meet the boys at the Spectrum for a night of fun!! We got there, but they only had ONE HOUR to spend with us. ARGH!!! We could have gone to Malibu after all!! When they left, Jeff and I went to Red Robin's bar! It was so busy there last night - there was a line coming out of every restaurant/bar and that was the only place to go!!
Today we are going to the Lake - I am going to tan my back - so it matches my front!!! Jeff and I are trying to make some plans for a holiday in October/November! Once upon a time, we were going to make a holiday out of my trip to DC at the end of October; but now that I'm officially NOT going - we can go ANYWHERE!! We're thinking of a trip to Costa Rica - neither of us have been there!! YAY!! We haven't been away on a "trip" in years!!
