Yesterday, Michele and I hung out on her driveway watching "car wash day". It was pretty amusing actually! ;-) I had mentioned to her and Steve that Jeff was supposed to take care of the Explorer - get it out of the garage, get it running and put a "for sale" sign on it.
Well - Steve went over and blew up the flat tire, then Jake pushed it out of the garage, (with a little help from Steve), while I steered it. We tried to jumpstart it for about 30mins, then Steve said he'd go buy a battery for it. He came back with a battery, (yay!), and it started!!! Then he drove it to a tire shop to get the leak fixed, but they were closed unfortunately. I will take it somewhere this week for sure!!
You have no idea how happy this made me feel!!! I can now officially look forward to having our garage back - and Jeff said that he wanted to fix it up and turn it into a "lounge" for my Birthday party.
Steve did an online conversion to figure out how many miles were on the odometer and there are only 83,000 miles! That made me feel awesome - I might have a chance of selling it for some decent $$$ after all!!! I"m really going to take charge, and get this ball rolling.
THANK YOU SO MUCH STEVE FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK - I APPRECIATE IT A LOT!!
Today, I woke up and got right downstairs so that I could organize and clean out the garage before Jeff got home! I did a lot, found many freaky spiders & sweated buckets!! It's now organized - although I want to get a few more plastic bins, so that I can put Xmas decor together, so they don't get anymore cobwebs collecting. Maybe I'll go shop now - it's too hot to ride. I can probably get some lunch while I'm out.
I would love to go to IKEA and purchase some really long curtains, so that I can hang them to cover all the shelving units. They're so ugly. I think there's a lot of work that needs to be done, but I might be able to get it done before my party.
Jeff came home from Phoniex and he was grateful that all of this had been done.
