When I got home, I took Cola and Gibson for a walk - then hung out with the neighbours' for a little bit! Jeff was in Vegas, and was having his "boys' night" - so I couldn't even get a hold of him.
On Saturday, I spent the whole day on the couch - catching up with my TiVo and deleting 24 episodes of Young & the Restless! I've decided that the show can be followed up on no matter how many episodes are missed! Jeff called me at about 11:30am, to let me know that he was ok - not lying in a bathtub full of ice with a missing kidney...
Catherine came to pick me up at about 5pm, and we took off for the OC Fair! I was such a good time!!! We walked through the barns, through the products building, watched a glass blowing demo. It was a lot like the PNE! I bought some trinkets for the kids back home. We caught the bull riding show and were sitting actually right behind the bullpen. Somebody parachuted out of a plane with a HUGE American Flag attached to them - and landed right in the arena for the National Anthem. The Bullriding was good to watch - there were kids riding as well - as young as 8yrs old!!! In between the bull riders, there were a couple of horseshows - reminded me of Cirque de Soleil's Cavalia a little bit!
One of the highlights for me was watching a Hypnotist! So hilarious! Back in 1995 I was hypnotised with a friend from school in Vancouver at the QE Theatre, ("Reveen")- but watching this from the audience was a hoot! This guy had people doing so many things - you really had to be there! He's going to be performing on Thursday night at the Hyatt in Irvine - and I just bought 2 tickets for Jeff and I! I hope that we can get some more people to come! I just emailed the Merks about it...
Jeff's plane lands shortly I think - he was going to miss his flight and catch the next one - but Vegas to OC is booked solid through the day. He's going to be ready to sleep all day long - I know it!
Oh - when he called me - he said that he wants to lease me a horse! You know that I'm going to hold him to his word!! :-)
