Start the LOOOONG Weekend!

My company gives us a 4-day weekend, whenever there's a 3-day. Today I have off.

Lastnight, Jeff and I drove out to meet up with Ken & Maya at Laguna Niguel Regional Park - it was a nice night; and I wanted to be outside - I also haven't seen Maya since July! As we were driving, "Cola" absolutely freaked out and got "vicious-dog complex" on a man that was walking on the sidewalk with a little boy on his shoulders. She's never acted like that before, and I'm glad that the windows were all up! Jeff got all serious and asked me, (sorry, honey - but I did promise that I was going to blog about this), "Do you think "Cola" knows that he's a pedophile or a bad person?"

...I haven't laughed so hard at Jeff's "innocence"!!

I think that "Cola" acted so funny - was because the guy had a baseball hat on, and with the kid on his shoulders - he kind of looked like a hunchback with two heads - and "Cola" got protective! When she was a little puppy, she would shy away from people with turbans or hats on - and sometimes umbrella's.

The park was beautiful - I took some pictures - saw some really strange birds, too. As we were walking back to the car, a bat swiped at me a few times - scared me, as I had my hair down and I didn't know why he was botherine me!

It brought back memories of me and Katie sleeping in an A-frame cabin at Mara Lake in the interior of BC as a kid - Rick came in to get something and there was a bat flying around with us! The whole community came into our cabin to try to get the little guy out, and he ended up sneaking into the crack of the top of the A-frame...they tried to chase him out by poking him with a fishing rod. Anyway - I didn't trust that he was gone, and I ended up sleeping in our Celica that night watching all the falling stars....

I'm just cleaning house, then once Jeff's done with a conference call, we're leaving for Knott's Berry Farm for the day! It's very hot - 95'F already! We did Magic Mountain in May 2005 in 113'F weather - so I think I'll be not as miserable today! :-) I am looking forward to riding the first-ever spinning roller coaster! Picture this. Cars each seat 4...and they're all linked together like a normal roller coaster - except each car is circular-shaped - you all face the centre. As you ride the coaster - your car "spins" - so you get seriously messed up!!! A new twist on traditional roller coasters that not only offers speed, but spin! Each of the four cars will take riders through a series of nose-dives, banks, dips, and turns at a speed of 37 mph while continually rotating on its axis!

I'm going to come back to this post and add pictures from lastnight; and also some moon pics. Michele and I met at the Home Depot parking lot on Tuesday night to play with our cameras. The parking lot is at the top of a canyon, and there are no lights for distraction, so that's why we met there. It was a fun time!

I've got to go get ready for the day. We're needing to stop at Jeff's office to get the discount tickets.

The spinning roller coaster sounds fun as long as the person facing you doesn't throw up! Hope you had fun...
