Save a horse, ride a ...

So far the weekend has been good to me!

Friday, Jeff & I went to dinner at El Torito, then went to go see "Superbad" the movie. It was a good movie - a lot of laughter! After the movie, we went home and had some drinks at our neighbour Johns' house with a couple of his friends. They decided to go to Shooters, but I didn't feel up to it, so Jeff and I decided to stay home.

Yesterday, I met up with Catherine, and we went to the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo at about 3pm! It was so hot out, but we had such a great day!!! That is me in my element! I loved it! We sat right in front by the chutes and I got some pretty good pictures of the "in your face" action. There was also a guy running an "electric bull riding" machine! We watched that for a bit, but weren't about to try it...I think that's a bar-thing for us!! I bought a hat for myself as my other hat is still at my mom's house.

Afterwards, we went to dinner at the Beachfire Grill in Ladera Ranch. This is one of my favourite places to just lounge on the patio with a martini, in the big comfy chairs and listen to the band.

Jeff ended up going to the concert in Anaheim with Steve, Dave, (our neighbours) and also about 6 other guys. He had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the music....but drank a lot!!! I'm glad that everyone had such a great time!!

After I got home from dinner with Catherine, Michele called me when she got home at about 11pm, and they invited me over to the hot tub, (her and Jake). We were there for about an hour with another group of neighbours and then we went back to her house. We had wine, and watched her Caesarian Section when she had Jake. It was so amazing!!! We watched the first video that her hubby taped, then we watched the second video from her Dr's point of view. It was just very cool to see! I'm glad I got the chance to see it!

Today - we are at home; doing nothing. I've decided to organize drawers and clothing, Jeff's watching golf - the most amazing sport EVER! He's hungover, so we're definately not doing much today. I want to stick close to home though.

Tomorrow, I was able to get the day off, and we were going to go to del Mar to the track with Jason, but everyone cancelled, except for Jeff, Jason and I, so him and I might go to Knott's Berry Farm instead; and we'll do the track on Friday as it's a holiday for me, and he's going to take the day off - we'll see though. Jeff needs to confirm plans more with Jason. Either way - we're definately doing both plans.

I woke up this morning to a Thunderstorm! It was awesome! I loved it, so I opened up all the windows!! It even sprinkled a little bit of rain, too!!!

I rec'd this email from "Uncle Doug" the other day...

Two moons on August 27th

The Whole World is waiting for August 27th. Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will culminate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287!
Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again!

...so tonight, I was going to go somewhere to set up my tripod with Michele, and take pictures of this. We were looking lastnight; and there was no sign of Mars, so who knows.... We'll see!
