~ Justin ~

Tonight, I rode "Justin", (the horse that I will probably lease). He was awesome! He is so well trained! I was able to get him to pick up the pace or just slow down - by thinking it!!

I did weave poles perfectly, and roll overs FAST!! He kinda' gets in "fast-mode" and we lost organization a few times - but I stayed on and we completed!!!

He's a 13yr old Morgan with a swayback! He's also a bit mouthy, so I had to slap him a few times....Kelly said that he'll try in any way to take advantage of me. He must have an ego problem!

Kelly's going to talk to the owner on Saturday to get more details on cost; and then I'll get more info next week.

I took a few more pictures of the moon, before it got dark tonight - I guess I'm just anticipating how the shots will look by Tuesday - trying to gauge my camera! I'm debating if I should post this night's moon on my portfolio. My class is tomorrow night, so I'm all packed up now with my gear.

Well, I'm off to get ready for my day tomorrow - I am so wiped out!

He was born Sep 25, 1996; and I adopted him from the Vet Clinic that I worked at, when he came in as a newborn with his mom and siblings. I gave him to my Grandma Ross, and she loved him so much. When her & my Uncle Johnny passed away, I took "Sandy" back to live with me. In his prime; he weighed 18lbs and is now an indoor cat. When he first came to California, he brought a lizard into my house! In February 2008, I had to make the tough decision to remove is right eye as it was causing him a lot of pain. He's my little pirate and loves to try to get outside!

~ FELIX ~

I met Felix at the Shelter I worked at. He was left at the shelter gate taped up in a cardboard box. He had EXTREME behaviour issues and they were going to euthanize him. I adopted him. He unfortunately sprayed and urinated in the house - so he ended up trying every mood altering drug out there - and even wore piddle pants in the house. For a year, I tried desperately to find a new home for him. On Dec 11, 2010; Jeff & I drove him out to his Aunts' horseranch in Murrietta to live out his life chasing critters and basking in the sun.
