~ Happy Birthday Carol! ~

What an awesome weekend Jeffwee and I had!!!

On Friday, we did end up going to see Transformers the Movie!! It was AWESOME!!!! I watched the cartoon in the early 80's and loved it then!!! Definately a "MUST SEE" movie!!!

On Saturday, we woke up early and walked down to the Starbucks with Cola. It was already so hot out!!! She had a great time getting out of the house and yard!!! She's had this limp on her front end ever since we came home from Vancouver - so I'm trying to figure out where it's coming from, but keeping her quiet at the same time.

Afterwards, we decided to go to the Ocean-Beach to meet up with the Merks and two other families that they were with down on Calafia Beach - north of San Juan Capistrano State Beach. It was a great day!!! It was nice to hang out with them all, and saw a few dolphins go by! The water was actually pretty warm, and if I felt better, I would have gone in!!! I think we're going to have to buy wakeboards now!!! It looks pretty fun!!! Unfortunately I didn't think to bring a camera - actually I did want to bring one, but so hesitant to bring my DSLR as I don't want to get sand inbetween the lens. :-( No pictures for me!

Lastnight we met up with Jim and Carol in Fountain Valley and celebrated Carols' birthday! It was a lot of fun! We did shooters - she's been off Tequila for 14yrs, so we got some good pictures of her getting back on them!!!

Today we got up and drove out to their house in Signal Hill for the family celebration of her birthday! Everyone contributed to food, and we had a great dinner! Afterward, Carol and I took off for a little walk around some of her trails. We came across a Falcon/Hawk that was eating a HUGE grasshopper. I had my zoom lens on my camera, so started shooting right away.


What a great weekend!!!
