So here's the deal....
Kathy gave Jeff and I a flight home to Vancouver on her AirMiles so that we could surprise my dad for his retirement party from the Federal Government of Canada.
I have not been able to blog about this - or mention it to anyone, so I've been saving my drafts for about a week now. This has been a HUGE secret since March!!!!!! I did pretty darn good!!!!
Jeff and I woke up at about 3:30am to get ready for the long drive north to LAX and get on our first plane that would take us to Seattle. We landed in YVR at about 1pm and went directly to the car rental to drive to my mom's house!
When we go there, I covered the peep-hole and Jeff took my camera - set it on continuous and started taking pics as soon as the door opened!!! My mom looked HILARIOUS!!!! She asked me not to post the picture, but I'm thinking that I'm going to have to... She was so surprised/speechless and a little teary-eyed!

We all got dressed up and Jeff and I drove downtown Vancouver to the Supreme Courthouse for my Dad's gala. He was VERY surprised and also in shock to see both of us!!! It was so nice to be able to be there!!! I got to spend some time with my two brothers and their kids as well. The party was fun and I re-met some people that I used to know as a kid. 
Jeff and I came home to bed as soon as the party ended at about 9:30pm - it was still light out at 10:30pm!!! It was a little confusing!

You were not supposed to post that picture ....my heart just about stopped when you guys appeared at my door...!!!. We all had such a special night...how lucky we are.
