~ Another pretty good weekend ~
I had an OCD goal in my head to get some gardening done. We have a huge landscaping issue - the dirt here is horrible!! There is so much debris in the dirt - also when you water it - the water just sits on the top and spills off. It's rotten!!!
One one side of the house, we dug up a pink rosebush and put it in a terra cotta pot - then my plan was to clear out the remainder of the dirt, and put our hideous green dumpsters out there - so that they stop stinking up the garage! Well - the hideous green dumpsters made the yard look just so...back in the garage they go. Unfortunately - when it's 95'F out - the garbage odour ferments throughout the whole garage. ICK!
We ended up buying some more plants and put them in the garden to add colour. It looks awesome now; and I'm so proud of my hubby! He worked hard!!! We planted some herbs, and Hailey gave us 6 sunflower seeds! Everything is in the dirt now, so cross your fingers!!!
After gardening, we went to Jake's Baseball game, (our 8yr old neighbour), and it was so much fun! Jeff and I had a lot of fun watching the kids and families....gets ya' thinking about our future!
After the game we were thinking about another Margarita night on Fortrose, but nobody seemed to be around, so we hung out at home and caught up on our TiVo'd shows!!
Sunday was Mother's Day and we woke up - got some house cleaning done - Jeff didn't go to Basketball that morning, we just had a nice relaxing morning to ourselves! I got to call all the "mom's" in my life to wish them all a Happy Mother's Day too. At 12:30pm - we went grocery shopping as his mom wanted to have a BBQ at her house. We were initially going to go to Lake Arrowhead for the first time - but maybe Jeff and I will do that this weekend instead. We took "Cola" - my baby girl - and got to Upland at about 2pm. It was nice to relax and hang out with Judi and Sue.
I miss my mom like crazy!!!
