About two weeks ago, my husband, Jeff emailed me from work and asked me to send him a copy of my resume. Nancy in his office knows how unhappy I've been at my current job, and wanted to pass it along to someone that she knows is looking to hire.
I got contacted right away, and traded a couple of emails with the company while I was in Canada visiting my friends and family. I was able to go in for an interview last week, and then today I went in to pick up my proposal. I am so excited.
I did enjoy my current job for a while, but all I do there is stay in a cubicle and answer phone call after phone call - after phonecall. I do not enjoy it as much anymore, I know that I have more to offer than that. I like to interact with other people, and feel appreciated. Where I am right now; I sometimes feel as if I am just a warm body that can take a phonecall. I want to learn more.
I submitted an email to my supervisors today to give them my two-weeks-notice. I will be starting my new job on April 25, 2007.
My position just sounds so different and interesting!!! It's in an office building - they manufacture heart stents. My position is "Clinical Research Specialist". I know that I will learn a lot, and can't wait.
There are so many perks - one of them including weekends off!! Finally - I won't be planning my life around an unstable week-to-week schedule.
Anyway - I really can't wait to start. I would start tomorrow if I could! The people that I've met so far are just so friendly and welcoming. I am excited!
Stay tuned....
