GO CANUCKS GO !!!
Pain is good...it means you're still in the playoffs
This was our first weekend together in a very long time! Laura was able to work my Saturday shift, so Jeff and I were able to make plans for Friday night and Saturday. We had such a great weekend!
On Friday night, we got ready to meet our friend, Steve. Jeff and him went to college together; and Steve's brother was down to meet up. We took them to our FAVOURITE sushi restaurant "Riptide". Afterwards we went to the OC Brewery in San Clemente, where Steve and his band were going to perform for the night in their band "Metal Snake". The music absolutely rocked, and the Crown & Cokes flowed way too HARD my way. I was suffering so much on Saturday! It was the kinda' day that I had the shakes for most of it.
We had Saturday night plans to go to another friends' house - it was Kristin's 36th Birthday, and her hubby Jeff put on a Wine Tasting/Kareoke party for her. It was a lot of fun. I didn't want to drink anything, but I met some really nice people! I was talking with a couple - the wife is American from Upland - she graduated highschool from the same school as Jeff. The husband was Canadian, and he graduated highschool from the same school as I did! He also went to the same Jr High as me, and we had the same stomping grounds! It was very bizarre to have met them! What a small world!! Hopefully, Jeff and I will be able to get together with them in the future!
Today, Jeff and I got up and we went to Ladera Ranch where some friends just bought and opened a "Juice It Up". It's very exciting! Looks like they're loving it - and we went to support them for a while - had some drinks, then went to the Car Wash for my dirty truck. We met a very nice man named Nick with his daughter; and they were on their way to the World Cup in Vegas for Horse Jumping! I got his email address, so I hope to be able to get some info from him and his wife. I told him that I was looking for a reputable barn to ride at. His wife teaches Jumper/Dressage. I just want to get back into riding; then I might start taking lessons again and start doing horse shows again someday.
We just got home from Signal Hill - went to Jeffs' dads' house for lunch/dinner with the whole family. His Aunt Terri was in town for the weekend, and we haven't seen much of them since before Christmas, so it was nice to hang out for a little bit. My hunny-bunny is so sick right now. He's got a fever, chills and is so pale. I better go check on him - he went back to bed as soon as I got on the laptop!
