I rec'd a phone call from the Crown Council this morning saying that I am not needed to testify on Oct 19th anymore! I am so relieved. It's over for me! There was a plea bargain involved.
Today is the last day of my twenties! It's nice outside - 75'F, (23'C). Jeff is working at home for a bit - I'm going to clean the house and get some stuff organized.
We have a vet appt @ 5pm tonight in Orange - which is right up by Anaheim. I hope to get Cola some pain control and an estimate as to how much they might charge for her possible orthopedic surgery. My "boss" at Antech recommended them to me.
This guy is supposed to come by the house to fix Jeff's windshield today - he's been flaking on us for about a month and a half - he's the same guy that was supposed to buy our furniture and kept not showing up to take it! We were hoping to get $400 for it all. It would really help us out!!!
Today is also a big day for me. I have a 2pm appt at the DMV to take a written test to get my driver's license!!! Then AAA will insure me again!!! Wish me luck on this!! I'll have 3 chances to pass the test.
My mom has been sending me emails from China - she has told me many times that she is having a blast! I am so happy for her and Rick. This is an amazing holiday and they deserve to see the world!
I have a little collection of gifts going here for my Bday tomorrow. My mom mailed me down a Bday parcel that had gifts and cards from her and Rick, my Dad/Kathy & Kenny and my brother Devin. I've also rec'd a gift from Pamela and an card from my Grandma Edna. I am not going to open anything until tomorrow though!!! My neighbour invited me over yesterday for a beer and we chatted for a bit, and she gave me a pretty top as a gift. I just love getting new clothes!
I met Jeff, Andrea and Denise, (Andrea's the one with the Rotti and Golden that I did a photo shoot for - Denise used to work at Precision with Jeff), for drinks and appy's at a Restaurant called Acupulco's in Costa Mesa lastnight! It was a lot of fun!
